Description
– Financial capability for youth is knowing how to spend wisely, prioritize savings, and plan for the future. UMCU believes that teaching youth about money is an essential step to help avoid common financial vulnerabilities and build economic stability. Youth should be educated about finances early in life and at pivotal points in their development and financial lives. Our Financial Major League workshops will prepare students for the responsibilities of managing their own money.
Financial Major League – students will learn:
How to develop a plan for saving and spending
How to make financial decisions objectively, and not based on peer pressure
How credit impacts their financial future, including student loans
Resources available to help them with employment and earning potential
